15 years that Recapture Your Memories has been in business with a string of satisfied clients and a drive to diversify business options as much as possible for the accommodation of the client.
The business of Recapture Your Memories has been the ‘unknown nook in the wall’ of Duncan, British Columbia on Vancouver Island for going on 15 years now. For 13 of those- the owner and operator remains the same- Nigel Robertson.
Our History:
Recapture Your Memories started out as a store-front in Duncan in two separate locations, then went to a home business, then has gone back to a storefront. It started out as a subsidiary of Zineer Media run by Joel Duifhuis. People took an interest in the business and both Nigel Robertson and Joel Duifhuis took separate businesses in 2010 due to the growing attention the businesses were both getting and the increasing amount of work.
Our Team: Recapture Your Memories Is Partnered With Apple Press, and Based In Duncan BC Canada
In 2015, Nigel Robertson started sharing business interests with Aurang Atrchi and son, Adib Atrchi who own Apple Press (#430 Trans-Canada Highway in Duncan) since 1992.

With the photos and restoration end, the options which to offer to clientele have expanded tremendously from digital to printing and hard copy, hard copy of various sizes to digital including a wide range of photo restoration options.
Recapture Your Memories continues to be run and overseen by Nigel Robertson, the business is CONTRACTED through Apple Press as a subsidiary.

Who is Nigel Robertson?
From the owner:
Born and raised in Lake Cowichan and a musician/pianist and mainly a church musician and organist for 35 years, there was always a computer in the home growing up, despite our family never had much money.
As Dad was a computer consultant for Knowledge Computers in the late 80’s and early 90’s back when it was on the opposite side of the building as Scotia Bank is on Trunk Rd., Duncan, B.C., (also known formerly as the Doman Building), Dad was always immersed in technology as well as automotive.
My brother was greatly into automotive and heavy duty machinery at the time, I took to the computer while mainly keeping my music the main aspect…
Nigel Robertson went to college in 1999 for a 4-year music degree- only to fail 3 semesters with fixing student’s computers instead of writing papers. But who would have known almost twenty years later I would be doing just that for a job and a business- working for Seaside Computers in Duncan (#4-2628 Beverly St.) and running the business in the evenings?
Twenty years later- even though still a musician- the computer is the main aspect, the business is still going strong.
